PrescribeIT Expansion

The Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Health and Community Services and Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) are pleased to announce the Phase one Expansion of PrescribeIT®, Infoway’s national e-prescribing service, in Newfoundland and Labrador.

After a successful launch of the service in Bonavista, NL, PrescribeIT® has recently been deployed to five new clinics and nine additional pharmacies in St. John’s.

  • Sobeys Pharmacy Torbay, 360 Torbay Road
  • Shoppers Drug Mart – Torbay Mall, 155 Torbay Road
  • Loblaws DRUGStore Pharmacy- 55 Stavanger Dr.
  • Walmart Pharmacy – 75 Kelsey Dr.
  • Walmart Pharmacy – 90 Aberdeen Ave

Dr. Lisa Harvey who was recently activated with PrescribeIT® at the Airport Heights Medical Clinic says “PrescribeIT® is very straightforward and easy to use. It improves the workflow and communications with pharmacies and makes prescribing safer and more convenient for my patients.”

Upon completion of the Phase one expansion in Spring 2024, PrescribeIT® will be made available to interested clinics and pharmacies across the province.  There is no fee or additional cost to eDOCSNL users to participate in PrescribeIT®.
